Last updated: 2026

Who we are

TJL Assessments provides personal tax return preparation and filing services. For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

You can contact us about anything in this policy at tinabandyle@iflmanagement.co.uk or on 07940 521933.

This website

This website does not set cookies, does not use analytics or advertising trackers, and does not have a contact form. See our cookie policy for detail.

Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those files your IP address is transmitted to Google as a technical necessity of serving the font. We do not receive or store that information.

Information we collect

When you contact us. If you call or email, we receive your name, contact details and whatever you choose to tell us about your tax affairs.

When you use our service. To prepare and file a tax return we need information such as your name, address, date of birth, National Insurance number, Unique Taxpayer Reference, and details of your income, expenses and allowances.

Why we use it

  • To prepare and file your personal tax return with HMRC
  • To comply with our legal and professional obligations, including anti-money-laundering requirements
  • To respond to enquiries you send us
  • To keep accurate records of the work we have carried out for you

Our lawful bases are the performance of a contract with you, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in running our business and responding to enquiries.

Who we share it with

  • With HMRC, as required to file your return
  • With software and IT providers who help us prepare returns, under contract and only on our instructions
  • With professional advisers or regulators where we are legally required to disclose

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.

How long we keep it

We keep tax records for at least six years after the end of the relevant tax year, as required by HMRC. Enquiries that do not lead to a service being provided are kept for a shorter period and then deleted.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate
  • Ask us to delete information, where we are not required to keep it
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk

To exercise any of these, contact us at tinabandyle@iflmanagement.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure. Tax records are held in systems with access limited to those who need it to do the work.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page. This policy was last reviewed in 2026.
