How it works

Four steps, and you can stop at any point

Nothing is chargeable until you are happy with what we have prepared.

Step 01

Get a free consultation

Send us a message and we will help you understand doing your self assessment — no jargon, no stress.

Step 02

Fill in our free sign-up

Just a few short questions. Submit your form at no cost and we will get back to you within 24 hours.

Step 03

Confirm with us by email

Your paired accountant can answer any questions, with no obligation, before any payment is made.

Step 04

Sign off your tax return

Your tax return is prepared. We ask for your confirmation to send it to HMRC, and that is it.

Why choose us

Fewer emails, lower prices, more time on your return

With our online sign-up process you avoid the unnecessary back and forth you get with a standard accountant. The time this saves allows us to provide lower prices and more time to address your needs.

That is not a marketing line — it is simply where the money goes. Less time spent chasing documents and re-explaining your situation means we can charge one flat fee instead of billing by the hour, and still answer every question properly.

Online Forms

Support

Any questions? Contact us today and we will provide all the support you need — before, during and after filing.

Who we are for

If you have been told you need to file, this is for you

Most of our clients fall into one of five groups. If you are none of them and still unsure, ask us — we will tell you honestly whether you need to file at all.

  • 01First time tax filers — you have been told you need to file and are not sure where to start.
  • 02Landlords — rental income to declare, and expenses you may be able to offset.
  • 03Investors — dividends, savings interest or capital gains to report.
  • 04CIS subcontractors — gross or net payments from construction work.
  • 05Sole traders — self-employed income and allowable expenses.

HMRC's penalties are automatic

A late return costs £100 even if you owe no tax at all, with further daily penalties after three months and interest on unpaid tax from the day it was due.

If a deadline has already passed, do not keep waiting. Tell us and we will help you sort it — filing late is always better than not filing.

A personal tax return is a form that taxpayers may have to submit to HMRC to declare income, accounting for any money you should pay as tax or receive as a tax refund.

No. The consultation and the sign-up are both free, and you can speak to an accountant with no obligation before paying anything. You pay only when you are ready for us to prepare and file your return.

Online returns and any tax owed for the previous tax year are due by 31 January. If you are registering for self-assessment for the first time, that must be done by 5 October — a separate deadline that catches people out every year.

A UTR (unique taxpayer reference) number is a ten-digit code HMRC uses to identify you as a taxpayer. It appears on letters from HMRC and on any previous return.
